Martin, what a "pompous ass."

The first to go was "The Philosopher" (Martin). Now, this guy came into the show just asking for it. Actually, I think if the producers genuinely picked the best 18 contestants, this guy wouldn't stand a chance. Despite his "institutional knowledge" (whatever the hell that means), the guy is an idiot, and rightly so, he was the first one to go. When your best defense against your opponents is "a new broom sweeps clean but the old broom knows the corners," especially when you're fighting against The Mouth (Frank), then you are DOOMED! What kind of B.S. is that anyway? Talking about brooms? Also, I'm quite offended that he has been designated the title of "The Philosopher," as I would not classify him with the likes of Socrates or Plato. Actually I wouldn't even put him in the same league as the stereotypical, old drunk who slouches at the end of the town's cheapest bar and preaches political philosphies until bar close. But I suppose they have to have a mixture of people, so that tempers flare and conflicts arise. As trump so fittingly put it "everyone likes you Frank - they don't like Martin...Martin's a bit of a pompous ass." I think he got what was coming to him and just to solidify how much of an ignoramous he is, he states (when leaving in that sleek black Lexus - nice product placement) that he "was probably the hardest working person there" and "I'm the first one to go on L.A. Apprentice - it's better than being the third of fourth." What a fricking tool!

I totally agree with you about The Philosopher - I think everyone knew he would be the first to go. What a jerk!

By the way - great site - love the postings - enjoy reading them.
